The PGP9.5 (protein gene product 9.5) is a member of a gene family whose products hydrolyze small adducts of ubiquitin C-terminal giving the ubiquitin monomer. This gene encodes two opposing enzymatic activities that affect alpha degradation nuclein and susceptibility to Parkinson’s disease. PGP9.5 comprises an estimated 1-2% of total soluble proteins in the brain. The expression of PGP9.5 is highly specific for neurons and neuroendocrine cells and diffuse tumors. It is present in all neurons. Alsoit have been identified in renal tubules, spermatogonia, Leydig cells of the testis and luteum corpus.

Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Recombinant full length human protein gene product 9.5 protein.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic, nuclear.
Positive control: Tissue sample from brain, kidney, testis or small intestine.

This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human PGP9.5 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
