Description
SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
IgE antibody reacts with the human immunoglobulins ε-chain (heavy chain). It does not cross-react with IgA, IgG, IgM or IgD ε-chains nor T cells, monocytes, granulocytes nor erythrocytes.
Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: IgE isolated from a pool of normal human sera.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from thyroid or medullary thyroid carcinoma.
APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human IgE using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
The most common feature of plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas is the restricted expression of a single heavy chain class. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is clonal and therefore malignant. This antibody is useful to diagnose leukemias, plasmacytomas and kind no-Hodking lymphomas.
