Ref: AP10022C – Clone: MOC-31 – Host: Mouse – Method: P,F – Format: Concentrated
SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
The monoclonal antibody of clone MOC-31 reacts with an epithelial antigen expressed by most normal and malignant epithelia. At the 2nd International Workshop on small cell lung cancer antigens MOC-31 was assigned to the SCLC cluster 2. This group contains antibodies which react with an epithelial antigen. This antigen was shown to be a 40 kDa trans-membrane glycoprotein of unknown function. Antibodies of clone MOC-31 are i.e. often used for detection of disseminated tumour cells in bone marrow.
Clone: MOC-31
Isotype: Mouse IgG 1/kappa
Immunogen: Neuraminidase-treated cells from a cell line variant of a small cell lung cancer (GLS-1).
Staining pattern: Cell membrane.
Positive control: Tissue sample from lung, breast or colon adenocarcinoma.
APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human ESA using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
