SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
The antibody anti-amyloid A reacts with native amyloid fibrils and fixed. The antibody reacts with amyloid deposits in tissues, including kidney and rectum. Cross-reactivity was observed with serum Amyloid A precursor protein. The application of both Congo red and anti-amyloid A in tissues with amyloid deposits has shown to be superior to the use only of Congo red.
Immunogen: Human amyloid A.
Staining pattern: Amyloid fibrils.
Positive control: Tissue sample from kidney amyloidosis.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Amyloid A using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
